Marathon Training Update

Training for my first marathon has been an exciting challenge, especially now that daylight savings has kicked in and the evenings in Southeast Texas are getting cooler, darker, and windier. Lately, the weather and time change have made it tougher to stay motivated, but this journey has taught me that true marathoners are built in the quiet moments—when you show up even after everyone else has called it a night. From switching up running routes to staying on top of hydration, fueling, and proper cold-weather gear, I’m learning what it really takes to stay consistent. With about eight weeks to go, I’m focused on pushing through the rough days, building strong habits, and trusting the process every step of the way.
